Prospective international students

What You Can Learn at Surugadai University

Off-Campus Study

One of the features of studying at Surugadai University is off-campus study.
Get out of the classroom and enter into Japanese society, where, depending on what you're studying, you can learn directly from professionals.

Here are some activities that many foreign students take part in:

Foreign Language Exchange

We periodically hold "foreign language exchanges" to promote communication with foreign students and to make learning about other countries' cultures and languages fun. At the same time, while the international students introduce their respective home countries and cultures, they also get the chance to learn about Japanese culture and language.

Planning Contest

"Shine! Hanno Planning Contest" is an industrial-academic collaboration between this university and Hanno Shinkin Bank. It is a contest that asks for ways to spruce up Hanno with unique and feasible plans and ideas that involve "people, things, and nature", which are then judged. Since the beginning, international students have had high participation rates and approach the subject with different and unique perspectives, compared to Japanese students.
